The Thukral Group of Companies, Punjab, was established in 1973 in the historic town of Sirhind (Punjab), India by Late Sh. Ganga Ram Thukral, with the active assistance of his son Sh. Sushil Thukral.

The journey of Fieldmarshal began with the establishment of a manufacturing unit for Agricultural Belt Driven and Direct Coupled Centrifugal Water Pumps and their components in 1973.

In 1980, the company expanded its product line to include Flour Mills and their parts.

By 1985, Fieldmarshal entered the global market with a range of international standard products under the Fieldmarshal™ trademark. In 1989, the company achieved its first major recognition from the Government of India by receiving the prestigious IS:6595 Certification. In 1997, the company diversified into the Electricals sector and established a manufacturing unit for Domestic Submersible Water Pumpsets. By 2002, the company further expanded into the production of Agricultural Submersible Water Pumpsets, strengthening its position in the agricultural pump market. In 2004, the third generation joined the business. Under the young and dynamic leadership of Mr. Saahil Thukral, the company earned the IS:8034 Certification and the ISO Certification for its Quality Management System. Around the same time, the company launched a wide range of Non-Self Priming and Self-Priming Regenerative Pumps, marking another significant product expansion. In 2011, driven by the aggressive and innovative approach of Mr. Sukhil Thukral, the company established an integrated Foundry Division, equipped with modern machinery and an Induction Furnace with a capacity of 250 M.T./PM (Metric Tons Per Month). In 2020, the Thukral Group of Companies, under the Fieldmarshal (Punjab) brand, introduced a radical addition to its product range with Subsidy-Approved Agricultural Implements, including Rotavators, Super Seeders, Harvesters, and more.
